That IS a nice grab by KSPR. I am certainly interested in what Rowan's file contains. If there was abuse that was going on that was not investigated or was ignored we have big problems going on in the dept of social services!
This could be interesting.
This does not surprise me. I was just telling my husband that someone at Triway should have hotlined this family for suspected abuse/neglect. Local reports have stated that Rowan would show up at her school around 6:30 am and the lunch staff would let her in. It was obvious something was going on in that home. Very sad. I just hope the case workers that dropped the ball in re: to Rowan get what's coming to them.
Its time someone would be able to sue the hell out of Family Services and win. How many kids have to die at their bungling hands before they are held accountable. This isn't their first big foulup.
I believe with all my heart that the social services had been contacted. And as usual they either did nothing at all, or they called the family to let them know when they were coming to check on things, so that way they could have all in order and then they can say all is ok. I have seen it happen just that very way many times. Including with a family member. Finally the family ourselves had to step in and just take the child for his own safety. So social services and family services does not do what they need to do in these situations. But god forbid your child gets mad at you and calls them then thay are all over you and trying to get the child taken away. They do not have the balls to stand up to the real child beaters, molesters, or killers. That was proven once again with this little girl. Not to mention the many others that have had to endure such cruelity in there young lives. As far as I am concerned they are just as guilty as the 2 men are. Only difference is they were not actually at the scene. But they let this little girl stay in such a cruel home.
Shouldn't we at least find out if the DSS really was hotlined before we crucify them?
The main person responsible for this child was her mother and she failed at that job terribly it seems.
I agree with the last post, you can't tell me the mother was not aware of the situation and leaving a nine year old alone with this loser and his drinking buddies says alot about her.
It seems we will all stand in line to crucify any and all responsible on this EXCEPT the mother and to me the Mother is the one who had the most responsibility and showed the least responsibility....yes even more so, in my opinion, than David and Chris. If you are so desperate you pick up any thing and drag it into your home with a child then wake up! More than likely it isn't going to be something good that comes from it!
Head lice. Wow. Congrats to some Springfield station for blowing the lid off that breaking story. Raped. Murdered. And now HEAD LICE?
The DSS isn't always the bad guy, gang. But it was nice seeing the posse being put together before we got the facts. Maybe everyone should go rent The Ox-Bow Incident
