Cooper supporters bombard court with letters

It appears supporters of former Rep. Nathan Cooper, R-Cape Girhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifardeau, are bombarding U. S. District Court Judge Jean C. Hamilton with letters urging leniency as Cooper prepares to be sentenced next Monday after pleading guilty to immigration fraud charges.
A docket notation on Cooper's case file, indicates the letters were filed Tuesday under seal. The letters were filed as exhibits "A to FF," according to the notation.

In another development on the case, U. S. Assistant Attorney James Crowe filed a document Tuesday noting that the government accepts the pre-sentence investigation.
