Edwards: Corporate greed has a stranglehold on America
At this writing, John Edwards is continuing his populist attack on the special interests who he says are ruining America.
Edwards, who appears to have edged Hillary Clinton for second in the Iowa caucuses, opened his speech by saying, "The status quo lost and change won." He noted that the two candidates "who thought their money would make them inevitable" lost. He did not mention Hillary Clinton and Republican Mitt Romney by name.
Edwards did not mention winner Barack Obama in his speech, but said, "This march of change will go on," saying he will fight on through the next primary and caucus states.
"The message is unstoppable no matter how much money is spent," Edwards said.
