Bowman co-defendant placed on probation

Monica Gholson, one of 17 defendants, including former Rep. John Bowman, D-St. Louis, in a bank and credit card fraud case, was placed on probation today in U. S. District Court in St. Louis after pleading guilty to one count of fraudulent use of an unauthorized access device. Other charges against Ms. Gholson were dropped in a plea bargain agreement.
Bowman's sentencing is scheduled for April 3, while the ringleader of the operation, former Bank of America Vice President Robert Conner, is set to be sentenced Feb. 20.
