Feb. 15 arraignment set for Bonne Terre rep in felony case

A 9 a.m. Feb. 15 arraignment has been scheduled for Rep. Brad Robinson, D-Bonne Terre, who is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident.
Robinson posted $50,000 bond today according to St. Francois County court records.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, five passengers in the pickup truck driven by Robinson during a Jan. 1 hit-and-run accident have received immunity in exchange for their testimony against Robinson and his wife.

Surveillance video that allegedly shows state Rep. Brad Robinson, D-Bonne Terre, and his wife, Tara, switching seats in the truck shortly after the accident in the early hours of New Year's Day led to charges against the couple.

Brad Robinson, 44, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Tara Robinson, 37, was charged with misdemeanor making a false declaration.

James Carmichael, the St. Charles attorney representing the Robinsons, said Brad Robinson is deeply concerned about how the felony charge against him will affect his political career but said his client has no plans to give up the job.

Typical smarmy poltician. Doesn't sound like he has half the concern for his victim as he does his job. From what I've been reading, this county has a history and a string of politicians who can't keep their records clean. I personally hope the voters around Desloge and in the rest of the county vote this guy out as soon as the opportunity arises.
