Lindsey said he had planned to hold the meeting in the latter part of February, but such plans were delayed after former City Administrator Randy Reed placed Lindsey on administrative leave. Reed’s recommendation that Lindsey be fired fell one vote short at a city board of directors meeting on Feb. 19.
Early March, Lindsey said, was opportune time to start fresh by conducting a planning session.
“I waited till things had calmed down a bit,” he said. “The department had reached a better level of stability and the community seemed ready too.”
