GateHouse Media sells newspaper to New York Times

It was a rarity for GateHouse Media.
The newspaper chain, normally in the buying mode, sold the News Chief in Winter Haven, Fla., to the New York Times company. Most of Gatehouse's acquisitions are clustered in certain areas of the U. S. and apparently, the News Chief does not fit into the GateHouse strategy.
