A %50,000 plus lawsuit filed by Empire District Electric Company against a company whose allegedly shoddy work led to a failure to the generator plant at Asbury has been moved from Jasper County Circuit Court to federal court.
Empire District officials claim AGT Services, Inc., of New York was hired to inspect and then repair the Asbury plant, but did a subpar job leading to an extended outage of more than two months. The outage cost the company more than $50,000, according to the petition.
