The Joplin R-8 Board of Education meeting was interrupted moments ago by tornado sirens. The meeting had already featured the introduction of the R-8 Teacher of the Year, John Rutledge, an automotive instructor at Franklin Tech, and the introduction of C. J. Huff, who will become R-8 superintendent on July 1.
