Storms carry items from Newton County to Springfield

KOLR reports the tornado that caused widespread devastation in Newton County carried items from this area all of the way to Springfield:

They also found some documents including a will, a wedding announcement , a bill from Lowe's and a page of a magazine as well as some pieces of mail -- this letter is addressed to a Mr. and Mrs. Gearly living on Iris Road in Seneca -- the National Weather Service reports that's one of the areas where a tornado was spotted.

Patricia Vaughn's from Neosho found the mail. Her family was actually displaced from their home for 93 days after the January tornado and worry what finding this mail could mean for its owners.

Vaughn says, "That was my first concern, 'oh I'm hoping that they are safe.' that was the first thing because we felt very blessed and that nothing was really damaged that severely that we couldn't fix. But you know when your house, you can't live in your house anymore, it's unsettling. "
