Where is Neosho Forums?
I have had about a dozen e-mails asking what has happened to Neosho Forums, which has disappeared for the past several days. If anyone has any information, please respond to this post.
Jack shut them down at the request of Neosho Mayor Howard Birdsong, who asked for a period of time to allow Heather Bowers to "cool off" following the City Council's appointment of Sherry McCormack to serve out the remaining term of RoseMarie Carnes.
If that is the case, then I won't be frequenting the forums if they ever return. To limit the ability of everyone that posted on the forums in order to allow someone time to 'cool off' goes against everything I though the forums stood for.
by the "request"of Birdsong, hte forums is just playing into the hands of the almighty machine in Neosho. I thought the forum was there to have us out there voice our true concerns about whats going on ( or not) in Neosho.
I have heard it was due to a licensing dispute and have also heard that it would be back up in a couple of weeks. If you honestly believe that the NF would do anything at the request of Birdsong then you don't read the Forums regularly.
We may have a prankster or two loose on this item. I received a comment from someone claiming to be Neosho Daily News Publisher Rick Rogers, saying he missed the Neosho Forums because the Daily used so much news from the site. Now somehow, I find that one a little hard to believe.
Thanks for providing info to be found, Randy!! :D (And, please forgive my spam here. LOL)
Since I can't get back to ck PMs & someone didn't leave their # when I missed their call, checking up on me... :P And, seeing as how some key members seem to have migrated here temporarily... I'll get back to you when I can, or you still have the number. ;) ~P~
...Birdsong sell-out? PFFT... AS IF!!! When are you guys gonna get that Shinobi-Filter goin' site-wide? :P <3
The WHOIS lookup says the Domain is registered until 4/21/2010

I would Suggest that the site be transfered to

They are an EXCELLENT company to work with. I've had ZERO problems with them for nearly 10 years now and have even purchased an additional domain from them just recently! Great Customer service too!
I haven't been able to load up the forums since the tornados. There would be lots of juicy stuff to talk about since then, too....
