The top recipient was the Missouri Leadership Committee which collected $29,575, about one-quarter of the committees total funds raised from April to June. That fund is a Republican group that funnels money to other legislative district committees which then distribute the funds to groups supporting US Congressman Kenny Hulshof's gubernatorial campaign as well as Republican Michael Gibbons' candidacy for Attorney General.
The second largest recipient of Sinquefield's PAC funds was Republican Rep. Steve Tilley who pulled in $28,050 from the committees.
And tied for third are Sens. Tim Green and Michael Gibbons, each bringing in $25,000. Green, a Democrat, has publicly backed Chris Koster's Attorney General campaign while Gibbons - who also received substantial funds from Sinquefield could potentially be his opponent if Koster manages to overcome the current lead in the polls of one of his opponents.

Blog examines Sinquefield's second quarter contributions
Missouri Political News blog has posted an examination of retired billionaire and leading educational voucher supporter Rex Sinquefield's campaign contributions during the second quarter:
Accept this challenge if you dare: give documented evidence that Sinquefield supports vouchers (legally defined as providing money directly from the public treasury to a private school). Until you and the other misleaders can do so, you will remain less than credible.
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could also explain how public schools across Missouri provide their public funds to private schools/organizations to eduate some children?
