Local television stocks have strong day

The two companies with commercial television stations in the Joplin market, Nexstar Broadcasting and Saga Communications, had strong performances on Wall Street Wednesday.

Nexstar Broadcasting, which owns or operates KODE and KSNF in Joplin and KOLR and KSFX in Springfield, was up 15 cents to $3.29 per share and has been on an upward trend for the past several days.

Saga Communications, owner of KOAM and KFJX in the Joplin/Pittsburg market, saw its stock price increase 10 cents per share to $5.77.
