The first degree murder trial for David Wesley Spears, 25, Stella, who is accused of the rape and murder of his nine-year-old stepdaughter Rowan Ford, will be held in Pulaski County.
Judge Robert S. Wiley made the ruling during a hearing today in Barry County Circuit Court.
Spears and the other man accused of the rape and murder, Spears' friend, Chris Collings, 32, Wheaton, will be tried separately. Collings' next hearing is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19.
