Star will endorse Zweifel in Friday edition

The Kansas City Star Editorial Board will endorse Clint Zweifel for the Democratic nomination for state treasurer, according to a news release from the Zweifel campaign. The endorsement will be made in the Friday edition:

"I am proud to have the Star's endorsement and grateful that they recognized the need for a statewide official to speak out on the fiscal consequences of state actions like cutting Medicaid," Zweifel said.

"In the legislature, I stood up to Governor Blunt when he cut Medicaid and raided our student loan agency," Zweifel said. "As state treasurer, I will continue to fight for fiscal responsibility in state government."
