McCain asks Congress to return from vacation and pass energy legislation

During a speech earlier today, Sen. John McCain asked Congress to return from its recess to pass energy legislation and outlined how he would help solve the energy crisis.

"The Congress, doing nothing, decided to go on a five-week recess without addressing the energy challenge that's affecting Americans every single day in their ability to go to work, their ability to do their jobs, and the ability to keep inflation down.

"Congress should come back into session. Congress should come back into session. I am wiling to come off the campaign trail. I call on Sen. Obama to call on Congress to come back into town and come back to work."
