A Sept. 3 court date has been scheduled for Chris Collings, 34, Wheaton, one of two men charged with the brutal rape and murder of nine-year-old Rowan Ford of Stella.
Collings had been scheduled to be in Barry County Circuit Court Aug. 19, but the date was pushed back to accommodate Collings' two new public defenders, Janice Zembles and Charles Moreland.
Collings' co-defendant, Rowan Ford's stepfather, David Wesley Spears, 25, will be tried in Pulaski County on a change of venue. No court dates have been scheduled for Spears.
