GateHouse Media sells three more dailies

Floundering GateHouse Media sold three more daily newspapers, two in Pennsylvania and one in New York, according to an Associated Press article:

Sample News Group has purchased three daily newspapers from GateHouse Media Inc.
The Pennsylvania-based newspaper chain bought The Morning Times of Sayre, Pa., The Standard-Journal of Milton, Pa., and the Palladium-Times of Oswego, N.Y.
The sale closed Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.


GateHouse Media stock closed at 60 cents per share today, same as Tuesday, but the stock slipped 90 percent, to 54 cents in after-hour trading.

GateHouse Media owns The Carthage Press, Neosho Daily News, Big Nickel, Neosho Post, Greenfield Vedette, Aurora Advertiser, and Pittsburg Morning Sun in this area.
