Steelman offers lukewarm support for Hulshof

Sarah Steelman has offered a lukewarm endorsement of the man who beat her in the Republican primary for governor, Congressman Kenny Hulshof:

In a statement Steelman released Monday exclusively to the News-Leader, the one-term state treasurer from Rolla rolled out her endorsement of Hulshof after heaping praise on the McCain-Palin ticket.

"It is clear that Senator John McCain, and his vice presidential running mate Governor Sarah Palin, has set a tone of change for the Republican Party by putting the people of this country first and putting principle over politics," Steelman said in the statement. "I look forward to supporting Sen. McCain, Gov. Palin, Congressman Kenny Hulshof and other Missouri Republicans on the issues that are going to make a difference to every Missouri family."
