The American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, AFSCME, contributed a half million dollars to Jay Nixon's gubernatorial campaign Wednesday, according to a 48-hour report filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
With the union contribution as the centerpiece, the Nixon campaign raised $674,500 over a three-day period in which Nixon's Republican opponent, Congressman Kenny Hulshof raised $86,950.
Wednesday contributions to the Nixon campaign, in addition to the AFSCME bundle, included:

On Tuesday, Nirmal Mulye, CEO of Nostrum Pharmaceuticals, Kendall Park, N. J. gave $10,000 to the Nixon campaign.
