Unions, lawyers contribute $75,000 to Nixon

Unions and lawyers contributed $75,000 to Democrat Jay Nixon's campaign for governor Monday, according to a 48-hour report filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

Nixon received $15,000 contributions from Sheet Metal Workers Local 36, St. Louis; and Electrical Workers Voluntary Political Education and Legislative Funds, St. Louis; and $10,000 from Pipefitters Voluntary Political Educational Legislative Charity and Defense Fund, St. Louis.

He also picked up $25,000 from Brown & Crouppen, St. Louis; and Schlueter, Mandel & Mandel, St. Louis.
