Another $33,500 for Koster campaign

Democratic attorney general candidate Chris Koster got back into the oversized contribution game, filing a 48-hour report tonight with $33,500 in contributions.

Of course, that figure pales in comparison to the $230,000 his Republican opponent, Michael Gibbons, received from Koster's ex-wife Rebecca Nassikas and her father Frank Bowman, which was posted earlier today on the Missouri Ethics Commission website.

Koster's money included $20,000 from Christine Kaplan, St. Louis; $8,500 from Stone, Leyton & Gershman, St. Louis; and $5,000 from Janelle Biernbaum, Raymore.

Since the removal of campaign contribution limits Aug. 28, Gibbons has received $1,722,650, while Koster has collected $949,500.
