The Missouri Southern District Court of Appeals today upheld the conviction of John Opry, who killed Jim Grace, 59, and Glen Nelson Cramer, 81, who were taking care of a Sarcoxie home while the owner was away on July 23, 2005.
The appellate panel ruled that Judge David Mouton did not err when he did not allow Opry to use a defense of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
