McCain: Obama does not have experience to lead the country

The debate has turned to foreign policy, John McCain's strong point, and while he is playing well to his base, he does not appear to be saying anything that will convince undecided to voters to opt for him rather than Obama.

As usual, McCain has stressed his experience (and Obama's lack of same), and tried to paint Obama as a rash, young man who would attack Pakistan.

As I write, Obama has just responded, mentioning some of the things McCain has said which do not indicate a cool demeanor.

Moderator Tom Brokaw has just asked both men a question about the situation in Afghanistan. That question is made to order for Obama, who has been hitting the need to shore up Afghanistan in many of his speeches and he handled it well.

McCain has pretty much just advocated a surge in Afghanistan, similar the one he championed in Iraq. Question: Where will the troops come from as long as we are mired in Iraq, and make no bones about it, surge or no surge, we are mired in Iraq.
