It could be a portent of things to come.
One of retired billionaire and educational voucher supporter Rex Sinquefield's political action committees, Missourians Needing Educational Alternatives statewide chapter, contributed $100,000 to Republican Congressman Kenny Hulshof's campaign for governor Tuesday.
The contribution was included among $263,909 donated to Hulshof, according to a 48-hour report filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Hulshof also received $123,535.62 from the Missouri Republican Party, $20,000 from the Missouri Pork PAC, $10,000 from Signature Health Services, St. Louis; $6,000 from Ann Dickinson, Dickinson Financial, Kansas City; and $4,375 from the 129th Republican District Legislative Committee.
The only contribution reported by Hulshof's opponent, Attorney General Jay Nixon today, was a $20,000 donation from the Armstrong Teasdale law firm.
Since the repeal of campaign contribution limits Aug. 28, Nixon has received $3,224,650, while Hulshof has reported $2,775,990.
