When will the first attack come?

So far, we have seen a few pointed barbs and criticisms of each other's records, but there has been no major attack by the candidates on each other as we near the 20-minute mark in the second presidential debate.

It would be nice if we end up not having to put up with non-issues like the Keating Five (it has been well established the effect that scandal had on righting John McCain's career), or William Ayers or Jeremiah Wright.

Hopefully, Tom Brokaw will steer the debate clear of this nonsense and stick to real issues, unlike the debates ran by his corporate cousins at MSNBC, Chris Matthews and the late Tim Russert, earlier this year. That debate was more or less an effort to bring up every non-issue in the Democratic primary race between Obama and Hillary Clinton and it was a disgrace.
