Gibbons unable to pull away from Koster

In what might turn out to be a sign of trouble for Michael Gibbons, he has been unable to pull away from his Democratic opponent, Chris Koster, in the attorney general race.

The latest results posted on the Missouri secretary of state's website show Gibbons with 51 percent of the vote to 49 for Koster, a lead of approximately 25,000 with only about 40 percent of the vote tallied.

Unfortunately for Gibbons, though there are numerous Republican-leaning counties that have not reported, for the most part they are the smaller counties, while the lion's share of the urban area where Koster has been leading Gibbons is still out.

It could be a long night.
