McDonald County Prosecuting Attorney Janice Durbin filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy today in U. S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri.
Court documents indicate Ms. Durbin listed $103,875 in assets and $407,878.37 in liabilities.
According to the documents, Ms. Durbin:
-Owes the IRS $4,986.97 in back taxes
-Owes $22,069 to Sallie Mae
-Has three pending lawsuits, two for breach of contract and one suit on account.
Among her debts were the following:
-American Express $37,153
-Arrow Financial Services $17,375
-Bank Midwest Credit Card $5,625
-Chase Credit Card $4,662
-Direct Merchants Bank Credit Card $10,380
-Victoria's Secret credit card $220
