Bryan "Big Gun" Stevenson, has been considered one of the top candidates for the Seventh District Congressional seat if Roy Blunt opts to run for Kit Bond's Senate seat.
Does Stevenson's allegedly racist comments today put him on the sidelines for 2010, or is he still a viable candidate?
Who else looks good for the post?

sadly, it's the sort of comment that will make him even more popular among some of our fine citizens down here.
I'm afraid Anonymous 6:27 is right. For example, I'm sure Anonymous 5:08 will be on that band wagon. I'm pretty sure to pronounce the "War of Northern Agression" properly one needs to be missing several teeth.
Better than the missing brain cells demonstrated herein for those who are "offended" or attacking Stevenson.
Without defending Rep. Stevenson, a partially-reformed Texan, let me point out that the Civil War started here in Jasper County, raging through my own pasture, several miles South of the park set aside to commemorate the battle. We have found brass belt buckles from both sides, as well as other artifacts.
Many residents here thought it was indeed "northern aggression" to have their houses burned by the Union Army. At least they left us the barn and the granary. I am not certain what happened to the contents of either building, but the granary was later moved and set on top of the house foundation. I live in it now.
My ancestors served honorably on both sides of the war. The ruins of slave quarters were visible here on the premises in my youth. The part of my family who lived here served on the Union side in spite of having owned slaves.
To have served in the same army that burned your house is an interesting response, don't you think?
