Nodler: I have the toughest job in the General Assembly

As Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, announced his candidacy, the Modesty Express hit the ground running. Nodler let people know that he, not any of the other 33 senators or 163 members of the House of Representatives, has the toughest job in the General Assembly:

"No position in the Missouri General Assembly is more demanding than the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee."

My guess that those who have listened to the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee would consider that to be far more demanding.

Turnabout is fair play...if you criticize a sports anchor for not pronouncing a player's name correctly, then I must take you to task and criticize you, a communication arts teacher for improper grammar in this post..."My guess that those who have listen to the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee would consider that to be far more demanding." Wrong tense of the word "listen".

  2. That is what is called a typo, as you obviously are aware and it will be corrected. There is a big difference between not taking the time to learn to pronounce names you are using everyday and making a typo. I have never criticized the local stations for the misspellings that sometimes occur on the crawl or in their graphics. It would be nice if typos never occurred, but they do.

  3. I might add that in thise case I would not consider the comment to be "fair play" or legitimate criticism, but simply being a jerk.

I'll be a jerk as well and point out the correct spelling of "this" - there ain't no "e" in that there word, Randall....

You can dish it out, but you sure can't take it.

All this fussing over misspelled words ignores the main point, which is that Nodler is an arrogant nitwit who believes that he's the most important and hardest-working person in the room. Proverbs says to let another praise you, and not your own lips. Nodler must have missed church the week that sermon was preached.

No, the point is and always will be that Turner cannot take being taken to task about his shortcomings but can certainly identify others. By the way Turner, in your second post "in thise case", what the hell is thise? Funny stuff.
