Richard Tabler, who along with East Newton High School graduate Timothy Doan Payne was convicted of the murder of two men connected to the Teazers strip club in Killeen, Texas, has been indicted by a grand jury for smuggling cell phones into prison.
Tabler's mother and sister were also indicted.
Tabler, a death row inmate, used the cellphones to threaten a state senator. He was also indicted on a felony retaliation charge for that action.
Payne was sentenced to life in prison. At Payne's trial, testimony was offered that the Granby man, who was a soldier at Fort Hood at the time, videotaped Tabler murdering the two men and two women who were also connected to the strip club.
