Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt, in an interview with KMOX's Mark Reardon which is continuing as this is written, expressed confidence in his ability to win his race for U. S. Senate.
"We can win this race if we're sure Missourians can understand what's at stake. Do you want Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama to do whatever it is they want to do?"
That continued what appears to be the Blunt theme that his likely general election opponent, Secretary of State Robin Carnahan is a rubber stamp for Pelosi, Reid, and Obama.
In an earlier question about the seating of former Saturday Night Live star Al Franken as a U. S. senator from Minnesota giving the Dmoecrat a veto-proof majority, Blunt noted, "He's not the only comedian in Washington."
