Joplin attorney to make run for 129th District House seat

Joplin attorney Shelly Dreyer will run for the Republican nomination for the 129th District seat in the House of Representatives currently held by Ron Richard.

Ms. Dreyer, a lawyer with the Hershewe Law Firm, filed documents with the Missouri Ethics Commission May 26 establishing a campaign committee. Charles Genisio, Joplin is the committee treasurer, while Cort VanOstran, Joplin, is deputy treasurer.

Ms. Dreyer told The Turner Report an official kickoff event for her campaign will be held Tuesday, Aug. 4, with the site to be announced later.

The only other candidate who has been mentioned thus far, on the GOP side is KZRG's Mark Kinsley. Kinsley has not yet established a campaign committee.

    Ed Hershewe. She's in Ed Hershewe's employ? And seeking the Republican nomination? Geesh....

    I don't see what her empoyer's politcal views have to do with hers..... Does your employer require you to have the same views as them? I know mine doesn't....
