Jeff Wells, who has been editor of Joplin Tri-State Business since its first issue, penned a farewell column in the most recent issue.
His successor will be former Carthage Press reporter Chris Roberts, who has been a reporter for Tri-State Business.

Wells leaves an (unearned) ego void behind. However, the publication is in good hands with Chris. Congratulations!
Is this the same Chris Roberts that got fired from the Joplin Globe for plagiarism? I don't know if that should be considered a sound business move by the owners, then again he's probably wonderfully cheap.
It may be massive, but Wells earned that ego. He worked hard to make JTB a great publication. I daresay no one else could have done it and don it with as much class. Good luck Jeff
Jeff, in your anonymous posting at 10:28 pm you made a spelling error in the second to the last sentence. You might want to fix that. And, just to note, an ego is never a good thing to have. People with egos are always more prone to make mistakes and to be left behind as everyone else progresses.
Oh my God a typo. I'm sure Anon 12:10 has never made a typo. Also making a big assumption that Jeff wrote that. Jeff has friends too. There is nothing wrong with a healthy confidence on one's own abilities. Those are the people who usually get places. People who have no ego are the ones usually left behind shaking in their booties. "Always" and "never" are strong words there buddy. The always lead to problems and are never used correctly.
I rejected the last anti-Jeff Wells comment that came in a few moments ago. If you want to criticize his abilities or attitudes, that is fine, but when you take tasteless shots at other commenters, it is not going on this blog. Try again if you think you can comment in a civil fashion.
