Joplin attorney Shelly Dreyer, vying for the GOP nomination for 129th District state representative, raised $17,635.10. during the past quarter, according to her disclosure report, filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
That amount is in addition to the $20,000 Ms. Dreyer loaned her campaign earlier this week. Her primary opponent, Tri-State Hispanic Chamber of Commerce President Adolfo Castillo raised $1,500 during the past three months, all coming from a loan to himself.
Ms. Dreyer's top contributors were attorneys, the report indicates. She received $2,400 from Kansas City lawyer Greg Robb, $1,335.10 in-kind from her employer, Hershewe & Hershewe in Joplin, $1,250 from West Plains attorney Lynn Henry, and $100 apiece from Jim Peddicord, veterinarian, Odessa; Zane Cagle, attorney, St. Louis; John Page, attorney, St. Louis; Jerry Wells, retired MOARK official, Joplin; and Bob Langdon, attorney, Lexington.
Ms. Dreyer's biggest expenditures were $1,000 to Sunrise Media, Joplin, media consultant; and $920.36 to RLK & Associates, St. Charles, advertisement.
So how much money does Dreyer have in her warchest compared to Castillo?
ReplyDeleteI can't help but notice that most of her donations are coming from trial attorneys around the state and country.
ReplyDeleteCastillo raised none - all of his was a donation to himself. Just an interesting note...
ReplyDeleteanon 545, I would imagine that whatever a persons career is they would know many with the same career, thus getting more support from them. I saw the name Jerry Wells in the report also, a strong conservative in the area. I don't think that you can define a person by their career, why not use their beliefs?
