Crime Scene blog: Taney County Prosecutor drops two charges against Pete Newman

Kathee Baird at the Crime Scene Blog reports Taney County Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Merrell is dropping two sexual misconduct charges against former Kanakuk Kamps director Pete Newman:

Merrell says that "the decision was made that those counts were superfluous to what he was facing and wouldn't enhance any sentence that he could face."

Newman is charged with a number of sex crimes involving underage boys.
