Carthage Press does standout job on coverage of Salazar case
A powerful package in Friday's Carthage Press as Managing Editor John Hacker gave the community what it needed- the best information available at the time about the alleged kidnapping of eight month old Eddie Salazar.
The entire top half of page one was devoted to the story, with a crime scene photo by Hacker, his story, a photo of the child.
From experience, I can tell you that no matter how undermanned a newspaper staff is, when important stories like this unfold, the staff pulls through and gives the public the information it needs.
This is why John Hacker is the best spot-on news reporter working the field today. He and his crew are crusty veterans who know their stuff. Making the Globe look like goobs has become the standard since last summer.
