Sit-in planned today at Missouri Southern

Protests against the lack of inclusion of gays and lesbians in the non-discrimination policy at Missouri Southern State University will continue today with a sit-in between 12:15 and 1:15 p.m. at Hearnes Hall.

A previous post on the subject of MSSU and discrimination can be found at this link.

Here's a serious question: When is Bruce Speck leaving? It can't be soon enough. We never had these type of problems at Southern before he came here. Say what you want about the previous administration, Julio Leon never incited sit-ins and protests. He also made sure that faculty got raises, even if tiny ones, and did not allow faculty to be fired willy nilly to appease bruised egos.
