The last thing the people of the Seventh District need in Washington is another politician, Springfield auctioneer Billy Long told more than 300 people at the Lincoln Ladies Ice Cream Social at Memorial Hall in Carthage Monday night.
"We need common sense," Long said, adding that Washington needs more citizen-legislators and not politicians who stay for so long that they have to be "wheeled in for a vote."

Billy's claim to be a common citizen....
There appears to be a lot of career politician types on his campaign staff. Jeff Roe and James Harris.
is this the same Jeff Roe? http://www.aboutforsyth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5354&sid=8ad3cebf5e4bd09317d2a4c790a7bf53
Funny how a day later we find out how Billy's inside connections to Jeff Roe earns him an endorsement for Mike Huckabee, a career politician.
Billy Long is fed up ... Well, he's fed very well to say the least.
Billy Long reminds me of Pappy O'Daniel on Oh Brother Where Art Thou. Full of hot air and nothing more. Has about as much business being in office as a kindergartner.

No this is not the same Jeff Roe. It may be hard to believe but the Jeff Roe in the Long
Campaign is a much lower form of life than the Jeff Roe at:http://www.aboutforsyth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5354&sid=8ad3cebf5e4bd09317d2a4c790a7bf53
I mean, the Jeff Roe being referred to in the Long campaign is lower than the lowest whale crap in the lowest part of the ocean. Now that's low, you know what I mean?
Billy boy says he will bring common sense to the office. I would like the person that will represent me to have more that common sense. They need super sense to deal with a super complicated world. Common sense is just common!
