Speaker of the House Ron Richard, R-Joplin, made a pitch for absent Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt during the Lincoln Ladies Ice Cream Social held tonight at Memorial Hall in Carthage.
"Roy Blunt is one of us," Richard said. "He deserves to be elected."
Richard also encouraged the Republicans to vote for Proposition C, the so-called Health Care Freedom Act:
