It's all over in the Seventh District. Billy Long and Scott Eckersley will face each other in November, a classic duel between someone who is fed up and wants to take that attitude to Washington, and someone who has already laid his career on the line to fight wrongdoing in Gov. Matt Blunt's administration.
Billy Long will have another chance to battle a lawyer and Long's handler, Jeff Roe, will be able to revive the scurrilous tales Blunt Chief of Staff Ed Martin and others in the Blunt administration told about Eckersley. Eckersley, on the other hand, will likely be able to depict Long, the "outsider," as more business as usual, considering Long's campaign is being handled by seasoned pros, and not neophytes, and has used some of the same tactics that have enabled that culture to thrive.
With two counties left, Long has an insurmountable 7,000 lead over Jack Goodman, while Eckersley clinched the win against Tim Davis early in the evening.
Roe is a piece of garbage, responsible for much of the dishonest Eckersley smear not very long ago, it'll likely get messy.
ReplyDeleteI am truly embarrassed for the district. Truly.
ReplyDeleteNonsense. I'm glad the buffoon won over the two term-limited out political politicians. Boo-hoo-hoo. Now Goodman and Nodler will have to do something else for a living.
ReplyDeleteAt least Billy Long is an honest open buffoon, as opposed to the two professional parasites who got dumped from the trough in the District of Corruption. We ass-clowns need more honest open buffoons.
Completely kicked the crap out of Nodler. This guy's ego kept him in a hopeless race leading to Long beating Goodman.
ReplyDeleteCome to think of it, thanks Nodler. You saved the district from the Blunt/Goodman double combo special.
After 32 years of public service to the people of Missouri in state and federal government, Mr. Nodler can retire.
ReplyDeleteMr. Goodman can continue to serve in the Missouri Senate and seek state-wide office if he so chooses.
Mr. Long can begin his public service in Congress and work as 1 of 435 to get this country back on track.
The ass-wipe gang can get back to their gay old time.
After 32 years of slopping at the pub[l]ic trough, Nodler the professional politician can finally wipe off and give it a rest. Pity that the pension will be generous.
ReplyDeleteRegrettably Goodmutt still has a place at the trough -- hope that swine gets cut off in 2012.
Doubtless Long will go to the District of Corruption and be one of 435 buffoons and parasites hastening the decline and fall of our mighty Evil Empire.
My fellow ass-clown @ 8:57 pm is exactly the sort of mental defective who simply 'doesn't get it' when business as usual is no longer possible, as the environment in which it used to exist has gone with the wind -- thanks in large part to the above-mentioned sort of politicians who helped eat it out.
Democracy is the god that failed. But the worsheepfool herd animals don't get it that what used to be no longer works. Three hundred million mixed herd animals can't all live in peace amidst a declining, grazed-out to the roots pasture which can comfortably feed only half that many.
What's a surplus diseased herd animal to do? Other than moan about the way things used to be . . . .
Ass-clown gang,
ReplyDeleteThank you for affirming the reason I'm conceal and carry.
