Carnahan campaign claims win in second debate

Robin Carnahan's campaign team claimed victory for the secretary of state in the second debate between her and Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt:

After today's U.S. Senate debate, Robin Carnahan's Communications Director Rachel Barinbaum released the following statement:

"After two Senate candidate debates, it is no wonder Congressman Blunt was working so hard to avoid talking about his 14-year Washington record. Throughout both debates, Robin held Congressman Blunt accountable, and he was unable to defend his record and unwilling to explain why he has supported policies that ship our jobs overseas, waste taxpayer money, and repeatedly put corporate special interests ahead of Missouri families
