At least four well-known Republicans in Missouri are exploring the race against McCaskill, but GOP operatives say Talent is farthest along and has been positioning for another run ever since he stood down in early 2009 when Rep. Roy Blunt decided to pursue the seat GOP Sen. Christopher (Kit) Bond is vacating in January.
The other three Republicans mentioned were Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, former State Treasurer Sarah Steelman, and Ann Wagner.
Jim is the worst campaigner ever. His campaign manager last time was the perfect example of someone who could waste more money in the shortest period of time and that is the reason he lost.
ReplyDeleteThat and the fact that his wife is a basket case.
If he is hoping to ride the republican wave he is to late. They will have blown it by then and he will have to rely on talent of which he has none.
ReplyDeleteGet a life Talent, and a personality. Many, many, many people were disappointed that you allowed the kid from St. Louis top run (ruin?) your campaign. He was the same guy who ran your Senate office activities in Missouri into the ground.
ReplyDeleteYou do not deserve another shot at public service and if the GOP can't come up with a better candidate than you (or Steelman), I'll just stick with Claire.
Jim Talent can't function in society. He has been on the public tit so long that he has developed a sense of entitlement.
ReplyDeletePeople can't relate to you Jim, nor do thay want to. You are a cold fish when it comes to being able to relate to people. Some people have it; Bond, Nixon, Blunt, even McCaskil. Some people don't. You and Steelman have the same problem. You turn people OFF.
You need to be hidden in a back office, supporting people who voters like.
The United States Senate needs talent; just not Jim Talent.
ReplyDeleteTalent made mention in an interview after a debate in Columbia that Missouri had thousands of jobs that needed trained people. He said the trained people were not available. I sent the windbag at least 6 emails asking where those jobs were...never got a single reply.
ReplyDeleteHe just opens mouth, works his jaws, and sees what comes out. All hot air.
