Billy Long not sure about wisdom of working with GOP leadership

Our newly elected Seventh District Congressman Billy Long questions the wisdom of working with the GOP leadership since it might get in the way of his "fresh new ideas," according to an article in today's Wall Street Journal:

Asked if he foresaw working well with the GOP leadership, freshman Rep. Billy Long (R., Mo.), who says he shares many of the tea-party activists' priorities, said, "I think it's a little too early to say yet...We'll want to bring our fresh ideas into it. We came with a big mandate. This is a huge class and I think the American people have spoken."

What? Is he going to shake his fist at Boehner and cry he is fed up? Long quickly adopted the establishment's way after the primary. I have no clue what he is talking about with fresh ideas. In fact, early in the primary Vincent David Jericho held a roundtable in which fed up Billy said he would vote the way the Republican leadership told him to vote. Because he is part of this big new class, Bklly "I don't run to the cameras and microphones every time they are offered" Long is always offering a generic soundbite which has become quite stale already in Southwest Missouri.

Fed Up will fit right in with the rest of the GOP. He won't rock the boat, nor will he offer anything new. He's just a mouthpiece for the higher ups.

Well, his first idea is to get rid of them Duke boys and then his second is to get Daisy to work longer hours down at the Boar's Nest, and then he'll have Roscoe and Enos …

I cannot stop laughing.

This may be, as I've said, the longest running cartoon in history.

I just know were headed for the world news when this jughead opens his mouth.

Geeeze. We don't deserve this.

I would love to see Katie Couric ask him about Supreme Court rulings or some other "hard" question.

I cannot stop laughing.
