Hartzler excited about vote to repeal federal health care bill

Fourth District Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler is thrilled about today's House vote to repeal what she and other Republicans have been referring to as the "job-destroying  Obamacare." From her news release:

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (MO-4) has voted to begin the process of repealing the job-destroying ObamaCare government takeover of the health care industry.

"A promise made is a promise kept," said Hartzler. "I made a vow to the good citizens of the 4th Congressional District to be their voice in the Nation's Capital and to work to repeal this unConstitutional legislation that would bust America's budget while doing nothing to lower health care costs. The nation's jobless rate has been hovering around the 10 percent mark for more than a year and a half. This $1.2 trillion government takeover contains job-destroying tax increases, spending, and mandates that are hurting our economy and making it harder for small businesses to create jobs that are so desperately needed."

"In November, voters sent a clear message to Washington that they want ObamaCare repealed," added Hartzler. "We have cleared a major hurdle in our effort to deliver for the American people. Now it's up to the Senate to see if it is going to listen to the American people. The House has done the people's work. Will the Senate?"

The bill now goes to the Senate for its consideration.
