Ethics charge against Nieves dismissed

Though it was acknowledged he violated campaign finance rules, the Missouri Ethics Commission has dismissed the case against Sen. Brian Nieves, R-Washington.

In its letter to Nieves, the MEC noted that Nieves had corrected his violations, which included failure to reports addresses and employers of contributors, failure to record aggregate amounts given by contributors, and failure to provide information about consultant services.
