Former Speaker of the House Rod Jetton pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to a Butler County traffic charge.
Online court documents indicate that Jetton agreed to plead guilty to an amended charge of excessive noise. He was fined $100 and costs and has to pay by Feb. 28.
Initially, Jetton was charged with careless and imprudent driving after being involved in an an accident Nov. 8.
A June trial is scheduled for Jetton on charges of assault stemming from a bout of rough sex with a Sikeston woman. The trial is being held in New Madrid County on a change of venue from Scott County
