Collings' attorneys requested the delay because they said they have to change their trial strategy, based on some changes in strategy by prosecutors, and needed more time to prepare. Prosecutors say they only changed what they plan to do in the trial because defense attorneys added to their proposed witness list, including Collings' co-defendant.

Trial of accused Rowan Ford murderer delayed two weeks
The trial of Chris Collings, one of two men accused of raping and murdering nine-year-old Rowan Ford of Stella, has been delayed another two weeks. The trial, which was originally scheduled to begin this week, has been moved to April 20, when jury selection will begin:
