Al Gore attorney in 2000 recount contributes $10,000 to Koster

High profile attorney David Boies, who represented Vice President Al Gore before the U. S. Supreme Court in the Bush v. Gore election recount case in 2000, contributed $10,000 to Attorney General Chris Koster's campaign, according to a 48-hour report filed today with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

The report indicates Boies made the contribution Wednesday.

In addition to Bush v. Gore, Boies has been involved in a number of high profile cases and is currently representing the NFL in the antitrust lawsuit filed by the Players Union.

In the past he successfully defended CBS in a libel suit filed by Gen. William Westmoreland and represented Enron CFO Andrew Fastow.
