(From the City of Joplin)
The City of Joplin reminds residents to turn in their Right-of-Entry form at any of the seven distribution points on Friday, June 17, between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
For those still waiting to turn their forms until the end of the day, citizens are invited to a Cajun Dinner at 6 p.m. on Friday at Joplin City Hall. The dinner will be held in the parking lot of City Hall, just west of the building. There is no charge for the dinner.
During the dinner, citizens can visit with City officials about the Expedited Debris Removal for properties in the hardest hit area of the May 22nd tornado. The EDR initiative requires property owners to sign the ROE form to allow government-funded contractors onto their extensive or catastrophic damaged property to clear the debris.
This event is being held to allow citizens an opportunity to turn in their forms, visit with City staff, and provide comments about the disaster recovery process. For more information, citizens can call the Joplin Tornado Assistance Information Line (TAIL) at 417-627-2900.
The Cajun dinner is being provided by chefs from the Gonzales Louisiana Jambalaya Festival.
